For being larger than average, the ball itself is quite comfortable, even for longer scenes. The wearer is definitely gagged and any attempt at speech results in generally intangible vowel sounds. I personally enjoy having this thing strapped on tightly in place - I love how it feels like my mouth is stuffed.
